Tamir Pardo Chairman – Chairman, Shizim Group
Former Director of the Mossad Israel’s Intelligence Agency.
Born in Israel on 1953, served in the IDF as a captain in a special operation unit (“Sayeret Matkal”).

In 1980 began his service in the Mossad, during his 35-year career at the Mossad he served as an operational Division Director, Deputy Director, and concluded at the top of the pyramid. Maintained close relationships with overseas intelligence agencies, heads of states, and counterpart Directors of intelligence.

During his tenure as Director he worked directly and intensively under the prime-minister of the state of Israel. Period recorded as a volatile, sensitive and fragile Middle East ‘Arab Spring’. Tamir retired from the Mossad in January 2016, exploring the business sector as well as the academic arena.

After completing his term as the director of the Israeli Mossad early 2016, Mr. Pardo joined Shaul Shani’s Swarth Group to lead and build Ventures in the fields of Cyber Security, HLS, data analysis, aerospace and energy. Tamir holds a BA from the Tel Aviv University in history and international relations.

Yossi Bornstein – Founder and CEO, Shizim Group

During the past 30 years, Mr. Yossi Bornstein has played key roles in the Israeli biomed industry.
He was the General Manager of Bristol-Myers Squibb (Israel).
Mr. Bornstein is the CEO and the founder of Shizim group, a life science holding company.
He is the Founder of ShizimXL & ShizimVS, international medical devices & digital health innovation centers.
He is the Chairman of GCP Clinical Studies Ltd., one of the top providers of clinical research services and educational programs in Israel.
He served as the Biotechnology Committee Chairman of the United States-Israel Science & Technology Commission (the “USISTC”). Mr. Bornstein is the founder of ILSI – Israel Life Science Industry Organization (who was integrated into IATI) and Founder of ITTN – Israel Tech Transfer Organization. He is a Co-Founder and director of Microbot Medical (NASDAQ: MBOT) and a Director of XACT Robotics.

Doron Ben Ami – CEO, ShizimXL
CEO of the ShizimXL MedTech Accelerator, Doron Ben Ami is a highly experienced executive with a successful track record of more than 20 years of in the biotech industry.

He previously held a range of executive positions including Associate Vice President for the Eastern European and Israel region at Merck (MSD), Managing Director of the Merck subsidiary in Israel, and General Manager of Lundbeck Israel.

Mr. Ben Ami is also the founder of Triticum, a startup company that is developing a clot retriever device for the treatment of stroke and occlusions in peripheral vessels.

In addition to his activities as CEO of ShizimXL, Doron acts as a consultant to pharma and medical device companies.
He earned a Master of Health Systems Administration degree (M.H.A.) from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Stephen Levenstein, M.D. – Medical Director, Shizim
Dr. Stephen Levenstein qualified in Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He then specialized in Pediatrics and worked in both private and hospital practices before joining the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Dr. Levenstein served as Medical Director for Bristol Meyers Squibb in South Africa for seven years before transferring to Israel to the same position. In these roles, he was responsible for the company research program from Phase 2 through to Phase 4 studies as well as post-marketing studies and surveys. He has experience in all major therapeutic areas.

Kobi Caspi CPA – CFO, Shizim Group
Mr. Kobi Caspi is a partner in Shizim Group and serves as CFO and VP of the group. He has been a CPA since 1984 and attained a BA degree in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University in 1982.

Prior to joining Shizim, Caspi filled several executive positions in several large companies in Israel and abroad as both CFO and CEO.  Mr. Caspi was formerly the CFO of the Disabled IDF Veterans association.  A decorated soldier and veteran, he was involved in ensuring the rights of veterans following their regular and reserve duty.

Mr. Caspi brings a multitude of skills to Shizim and its accelerator and partner companies including managing employees as well as the finance and accounting departments, auditing financial statements and working with government and other tax authorities, including management reports and legal regulation procedures.

Shuki Yeshurun, D. Sc. Chief Scientific Officer, ShizimVS

Dr. Yeshurun is a highly experienced multidisciplinary scientist and system integration expert. He previously served as CTO in several organizations, including the Directorate of Defense Research & Development (Mafa’t – Israel’s DAARPA), and founded multiple companies, including NanoPass and Tortech. Dr. Yeshurun holds a PhD from the Technion Technology Institute.

Eitan SegalPartner & VP Strategy and special projects 
Over 20 years of strategic planning and execution. Vast experience in G2G; G2B; &B2B. In the last 7 years Eitan served as a director in private and public companies (T.A.S.E) in the medical field. Eitan also served as VP Biz. Dev. in an Israeli public company with a Chinese control shareholder. Eitan has vast successful experience in raising fund for Israeli companies, and has comprehensive experience in investors relationship. Prior to his business career Eitan served as the Senior Director for Foreign Policy for the Israel Prime Minister for 4 years.

Rotem Caspi Shomrat – VP Finance, Shizim Group
Rotem has more than 10 years of experience in accounting firms, High-Tech & communication industry. Prior to being appointed as VP Finance at  Shizim Group, Rotem has worked in the finance team of Nice Systems, a global NASDAQ traded Company, and other private fast-growing companies.
